Imagine yourself surrounded by like minded colleagues, in an amazing environment – with a seemingly never-ending source of retro sweets and refreshments!
It was a fabulous day and a half of networking with fellow educators and arts practitioners as part of round two of the Teacher Development Fund.
Together we explored the impact of arts on our proposed projects. Creating powerful questions for ourselves, we pushed our thinking forward, refining and modifying ideas to succinctly capture the essence of our individual projects.
What a privilege to work alongside colleagues from Dance East and The New Wolsey Theatre, both based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Having worked with both organisations in a variety of projects over a number of years, we are excited to embark on this two year project with them and the artists who will be working alongside twenty teachers and children from nine schools across our MAT.
Note to self: Remember the art of asking powerful questions.
